Not far away, towards the Tevere, the Castel Sant’Angelo: one of the few monuments that for two thousand years accompany the history of Rome following its political and architectural evolution.
Piazza Navona is an attractive and well-known place in baroque, Rome with the beautiful Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi and the cupola of the Chiesa di Sant’Agnese. At less than ten minutes is found Campo de’ Fiori, one of the favorite night spots for young people with clubs and pubs that are not too expensive; during spring days, its booths with fruits, vegetables and flowers, lighten the mood with an explosion of aromas and perfumes.
From the ancient and spectacular temple of the Pantheon you may reach the via dei Fori Imperiali enjoying, in succession, the view of the Campidoglio, the Arco di Costantino and the imposing Colosseo, the ancient arena of gladiators, symbol of the power of Rome.
By car
From northern Rome, on reaching the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA), take exit 8 “via Salaria” continue 5 km, turn right on viale Regina Margherita and follow the signs for the Stazione Termini. Hotel Giorgi is 200 m from the station.
From Southern Rome, take the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) take exit 23 “via Appia”, continue 5 km, arriving in San Giovanni, turn right to via Merulana and then right for via Manzoni, following the signs for the Stazione Termini. Arriving at the stazione continue as described in the point ‘By train.’
By train
On reaching the Stazione Termini, head away from the binary and take a right on via Marsala, turn right on via Vicenza and quickly to the left on via Magenta where, at number 11, is located the Hotel Giorgi.
By air
The airport of Fiumicino is 30 km away. On reaching l’Hotel Giorgi with by the Leonardo Express train departing from the train station of the airport directly to the Stazione Termini. Arriving at the station follow come described in the point ‘By train’.
The airport of “Ciampino” is at a distance of 18 km. To reach the Hotel Giorgi, take the Terravision bus departing from the piazza just outside of the airport, arriving in via Marsala you can – on feriale – cross the galleria Caracciolo and head to via Magenta, while - on holidays – you would need to continue forward and turn right at the next crossing, on via Solferino, then again to the right on via Magenta where the Hotel Giorgi awaits you.
